SWAMI VIVEKANANDA A LIBERAL SOCIAL REFORMER Swami Vivekananda was an extraordinary luminary with gifted wisdom. Although survived only about 40years of life time, born on 12th January 1863 (as Narendranath Datta, in West Bengal, India) and died on 4th July 1902, he is recognized at world level as an unparalleled intellectual and social reformer. He was a perfect liberal socialist, primarily followed (and though belonged to Hindu faith) having been guided by his guru Rama Krushna Paramhans, a Saint widely respected, relying on Vedanta and Yoga, he declared unambiguously that all religions and faiths have equal rights to coexist respecting each other, that was reaffirmed by his famous Chicago speech in 1893. He believed in non-violence, but at the same time, had advocated vehemently that violence has no place in society.
