CLASS MATE IS A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP

  A class mate is a unique relationship in life, it can’t be compared or equated with any other relationship including spouse, parents, children, blood relatives and other friends. In fact, this relationship is superlative and far apart, different and has more longevity. The other relationships have their own place in life, but a class mate has his/her unique position in life. A class mate is a friend, but every friend is not a class mate. A class mate is a nerve center of unique liberty and tolerance which no other relationship provides in its unique form. One can share anything with a class mate, dirty, funny, fishy and messy which possibly cannot be shared with any other relationship in life time irrespective of age. A class mate is highly empathetic and sympathetic, that no other relationship can provide at all times in its own form. The amount of tolerance a class mate whether same gender or opposite gender can exhibit can’t be shown by any other relationship in its way. Similar also in terms of patience, support and confidence. The question is where does it come from? It comes from the unique environment of the class, schools or universities and hostels where no other relationship existed, there were no parents, no spouses, no children or blood relatives and no other friends. The time and space shared uniquely in a group gets thick and thick in the heart and mind and stays strong forever with ever longevity. The class mates are even found to provide economic support when no other relation can offer or afford. The extra mile a class mate would like to walk for another class mate, can’t be done by any other relation that way. It has been also seen there can be hostility among class mates as it also happens sometimes among siblings and relatives or friends, but among class mates it is resolved faster and quite easily compared to others. It has also been empirically proved that class mates when have married, have been found to be better understanding spouses. My note is a tribute to all my class mates in their honour and for their position in my life and life time. The Classmates are unique relationships respected worldwide.

About the Author: Dr. Nimain Charan  Biswal is a B.Sc.(Agri. Science and Technology ). M.B.A. and Ph.D.( Management Area ) by qualifications and he has 34+years of work experience in both  industrial and development sectors in diversified fields of social importance.
