THOUGHTS ON WORLD MILK DAY (1st June) : "MILK" STAYS AT ITS ROOTS AS TO "WHY COW IS GIVEN THE RESPECTS OF MOTHER" IN INDIA SINCE ANCIENT TIMES?": THE LOGICAL ANSWER WHICH CONVINCES MANY IN THE WORLD

THOUGHTS ON WORLD MILK DAY (1st June) : "MILK" STAYS AT ITS ROOTS AS TO "WHY COW IS GIVEN THE RESPECTS OF MOTHER" IN INDIA SINCE ANCIENT TIMES?": THE LOGICAL ANSWER WHICH CONVINCES MANY IN THE WORLD

Dear Readers,
The 1st June ( which is also today) is being Celebrated as World Milk Day. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations had declared 1st June as the World Milk Day in 2001 as on around June a number of Nations of the World were already celebrating their National Milk Day.

I wrote this note on World Milk Day to let all of you know, as thoughts of today: Milk Stays at its Roots as to "Why Cow is Given the Respects of Mother in India since Ancient Times?". The Logical Answer that convinces many in the World, and I did try giving that answer to many in the World in the past who got convinced.

Other than working about 15-years in two stints for GCMMF (Amul) of India, I also worked for Other Prominent Indian Organizations having International Presence widely and about 14years for an EU Organization (EU-MNC) looking after their Asian Operations being based from India. Therefore, I had opportunities to travel to many countries around the World. Every where I traveled around the World in the past, while meeting Colleagues, Friends, Customers, Vendors, Business Associates, Co-travelers, Co-Residents in Residential Accommodations (or Hotels) and People of All Types and Professions, when I used meet and during friendly discussions whether over lunch, dinner, official, formal or non-formal meetings, they used to ask the following question invariably and I had to give them logical answer to convince them and they normally would get convinced by my answers:
a)   Why the Cow is given the Respects of Mother in India ?

The Logical Answer I give always against the above question anyone asked me is the following:

When we were born as new born infants, we had to survive on Mother's Milk for some time as the means of sole nutrition for our survival, may be for some months together, until we were capable enough biologically to eat and digest any other food for our survival. If our Mother had any genuine reason, for not being able to feed her milk (the Mother's Milk) for anyday, some days or for some period of time, during those crucial days of our survival when we were new born infants, what was fed to us for our survival during those crucial days? "It was Cow's Milk" and that's it. Therefore, when our Mother, for any genuine reason, was not able to feed her milk(Mother's Milk) for those Crucial Days/Period of time for our Survival, who helped and played the role of Mother to us and whose milk was fed to us for our survival; it was the "Cow". Therefore the Cow is given the Respects of Mother in India, it is very logical.
Then I would explain them, in the Ancient Times it was only the Cow which was used in households to give milk. Gradually and over time, as the time passed, Buffalo and other milch animals were adopted for producing milk in the households and in farms. Also as the Science and Technology Developed, when the modern dairy products came into being, then the modern day's Infant Milk Food (Infant Milk Formula) came into use. However, all said and done, even if a legally approved modern day's Infant Milk Food is feed to an infant for survival, when the Mother's Milk is not available to the infant for any genuine reason of the Mother, whether in India or world wide, the Cow's Milk based Infant Milk Food is used to feed the infants for survival. Then I used to also say and explain in details, that in India, we have successfully manufactured infant milk food from Buffalo Milk ( the milch animal like a cow). My answer as I explained above whenever I had given to anyone in the World in a large number of countries I have visited in the past in my life time, almost in all the continents of the world, had convinced those who had questioned me.

Once I answered the above question successfully and convinced them, those Colleagues/Friends/Questioners to me world wide would invariably love the fact that I personally myself; being principled of my faith that I practice and once they got to know that strictly I do not eat Beef or Pork in my life time and as I do not drink alcoholic beverages all over my life, they would offer me happily a Dish of Fish or Chicken, and a Drink of Fruit Juice or Non-Alcoholic Beverages that I would eat and drink also happily by giving them the due, respectable and hospitable company in the relevant situation.

As I said, the World Milk Day is being celebrated today ( on 1st June ), I am giving some links of the News Reports that appeared in the public domain, that I came across and happened to read, if you like can read it or can read by your own choice from the public domain:
