IT WOULD BE A VERY GOOD NEWS FOR WORLD PEACE : IF RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR ENDS AS PER INDICATIONS FROM MOSCOW
Dear Readers,
There is an indication from Moscow in very recent times. the news about it have started floating from last two days in the public domain of global p;ublic media, that the Russia-Ukraine war can end soon.
It would be a very good news for World Peace, as well as peace between Russia and Ukraine, if Russia-Ukraine war ends soon as per the Indications from Moscow. There is no doubt that the World has suffered a lot as the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine war that has been going on since February 2022 where as both the Nations have also suffered immensely out of it and; right now they are under a 3days Ceasefire announced from 09-May-2026 to 11-May-2026 as per their clock timing.
You can read from these links I am giving below, one from the International Public Media (Reuters) and the other from Indian Public Media (Mint). however there are many news reports on it in the public domain you can read by your own choice:
Putin says he thinks Russia-Ukraine war is coming to an end
Putin says Ukraine war is nearing end: Will he finally meet Zelensky outside Russia to sign a peace deal?
The World has suffered a lot from the Russia-Ukraine War as it lingered for years together since February 2022, and it culminated to be a massive confrontation while the USA and Western Countries (Europe and UK also) backed Ukraine and Russia took a strong stand to go ahead with it non relenting, it can not be also said that a number of countries also took the side of Russia, though internally and may not be as much on its surface and to be visible to outside.
In my independent analysis of the subject matter given my Global Exposure and International Exposure; as I have said even before also with my International Scenario Exposure in the past, among the CIS Block of Countries that got into existence after breaking down of the erstwhile Soviet Union, Russia remained the largest CIS Nation and most powerful as well as prosperous among them as it was the Core Nation at the centre of former Soviet Union, then the next was Ukraine in prosperity among its CIS Cousins. Over the years, Ukraine became very prosperous according to its size and placement, as it inherited some of the prized resources from the former Soviet Union in terms of Agriculture, Natural/Mineral Resources and also Industrial Infrastructure with Civil Amenities. However, the difference between Russia and Ukraine in terms of gap of Resources, Size and World level Standing remained very large and wide; when both the Nations compared until 2022. However there was a missing catch, with growing prosperity of Ukraine, at some point of time, it started showing the tendency of competing with its larger and Super Power cis-cousin Russia, in stead of synergizing with its Lager CIS Cousin and taking it as a benefit for its own security and existence, that got visible to Russia as one of World's Super Powers in terms of its smaller CIS Cousin Ukraine continuously pursuing its ambitions to fetch :
a) Membership of EU (European Union) Nations
b) Membership of NATO
Primarily these two ambitions being aspired and pursued by Ukraine continuously, that irked Russia the most, as Russia never liked Ukraine to be a member of the above both formations. Although Russia made internal efforts to dissuade Ukraine from the above two ambitions, as it was like for example; comparing to a situation that no household would like its closest neigbour to rear "Cobras" at its backyards, that can be a continuous threat in some way or other. As Russia could not get the signal from Ukraine to be dissuaded from pursuing the above two ambitions and to remain in synergy between both the CIS Cousins and members of former Soviet Union by internal efforts it did; Russia went ahead with something it called as "Special Military Operations" against Ukraine in February 2022 that is the Russia-Ukraine War continued so far, that is under a 3days ceasefire right now which has been announced with USA mediation.
The Russia-Ukraine War that has continued for years together since February 2022, in spite of Ukraine having received the backing from the Western Countries (UK and EU) and USA to fight the said War for years together, however, the said war has almost crippled Ukraine very severely, in terms of loss of human life, displacement of its people and loss of resources, that has pulled Ukraine back by several years from its prosperous position in 2022 that existed pre-eminently before the Russia-Ukraine war broke out. It may take further several years, for Ukraine to rebuild and come back to the Pre-War level, provided Massive Resources that may be needed for rebuilding it, and it is really difficult to predict how many years it may take for Ukraine to come back to its Pre-War prosperity situation of 2022.
Conclusively said, the present situation in which Ukraine has landed up due to the war, even may not qualify it in terms of Resources and Infrastructure Criteria requirement of both EU and NATO to give their memberships to it. So far, there has been no Approval and Confirmation of Granting the Membership of EU and NATO to Ukraine, and ultimately it may not happen also given the situation of Ukraine now, and by corollary Ukraine is back to square one.
Let me take you to a comparable situation as it existed before the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022 in those two CIS nations case to give you a real feel of it by simulation. All of us are aware that India got Independence from British Rule in 1947; however, the independence was not charitable, it was at a cost, and that cost was the Partition of India where by our neighbouring nation Pakistan was born in 1947 and thereafter in 1971 the 3rd Nation Bangladesh was also born out of that partition. So like CIS cousin Nations, our neighbouring nations such as Pakistan and Bangladesh are Indian Subcontinent Cousins in that sense for their past political history. For the Good and Benefit of our Indian Subcontinent Cousins, they should be in Good Relationship and Synergy with India as their Larger Indian-Subcontinent-Cousin as well as a World Super Power to say by its own merit, and also the closest neighbour to them. In stead of being in Good Relationship and Synergy with India, if they try to harbour continuous hostile stand towards India and keep running here there to other nations of the World for support and seeking their good by that, we know and we see what is happening in our neighbourhood for them. Similarly at some point of time and for some time, the continuous pursual of Ukraine to be member of EU and NATO in stead of looking at its Larger and Super Power CIS Cousin Russia for help and synergy; it landed it up in the situation it is in today due to the Russia-Ukraine War since 2022.
Whatever Peace Deal and Agreement comprehensively may be agreed between the said two Nations to end the War, let it come and finally if it can come for World Good and for Good of both; and if the War ends, it would definitely be very good news for the peace between the said two Nations and also for World Peace that World should welcome most sincerely and eagerly.
For our Nation India, both Russia and Ukraine, the said two Nations have been in Friendship with India at Certain Strategic Levels for long time; that applies to them separately at its levels defined and understood by India at bi-lateral relationship level with them, India has always maintained the stand that the Russia-Ukraine war should end by getting into dialogue and diplomacy for the cause of Peace among them and also for the cause of World Peace, that our Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and our Hon'ble External Affairs Ministry have expressed at World Level public fora consistently and repeatedly.
