BATCH DEFINITIONS AND NOMENCLATURE FOR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL COURSES IN INDIA
Dear Readers,
I am writing something here that may be important
to deal with, even it may be in your case anywhere.
1. When any one gets admitted to an University for the
Professional Courses your Batch Starts from your year of Admission and ends
after the years of Course duration for which the student was admitted if he/she has passed out as a regular student, and if the student has not failed or has not been detained during the course by which he/she can be moved to a junior batch with whom he/she might have to pass out of the course finally. . For example in specific case if the student was admitted originally for a 4-years course in 1979 the Batch will be defined as 1979-83 or 1983 batch.
2. In the
past due to some impending reasons if the examinations of the University has been
delayed and spread to next year the Batch Definition does not change. Like in specific case for example if for the student admitted in 1979 and the final 4th year exams
were delayed and held in March 1984 this does not change the Batch Definition
and Nomenclature and the student's batch still remains 1979-83 or 1983 batch to be called normally without change.
3. Convocations
of some Universities in the past have been delayed for 1-2 years. Like in specific Professional Course for batch 1983
(1979-83), the convocation was delayed by 2-years and was held for example on 01-07-1985.
Delayed convocation does not change the Batch definition and the batch definition still stays as 1983 (1979-83) batch. As such some or many Indian
Universities do convocations delayed by some years depending on their relevant situations.
4. In a Specific case some batch mates of a batch of Professional Course were in confusion due to delayed exams and delayed convocation
and were wrongly calling the batch as 19XX+1 ( say 1984) batch (one year junior batch) and were almost forcing other batchmates to call and accept that way ( in fact the wrong way and by their wrong definition of the batch).
Therefore the legal records of the University in example were verified and found to define the batch of 4years course as 19XX (say 1983),batch only and nothing else. So the batch mates who were using
wrong definition of the specific batch have realized their mistake.
5. One Rider and Clarification here, for the Individuals who fail or get detained, due to
semester system of the University, they are moved to the next junior batch and may pass
with a junior batch finally. For such specific cases the batch will change to
that junior batch with whom those failed or detained students would have passed
finally.
6. All
should comply and abide by Batch Definition as per legal records of the Specific University for
batch definition otherwise anything other done contrary to the University's legal records will be wrong, illegal
and might even constitute an offence legally.
Wrote this for the benefit of all students of the Specific University in example or in General so that the Students who pass out from Professional Courses of the Universities in India should understand their Batch Definition and Nomenclature rightly.
