Ganesh Puja is being Celebrated Throughout India today and Internationally also where Indians are living. 

As per Indian Calendar System, "The Bhadrav Suklapakshya Chaturthi" (The 4th Day of 2nd Fortnight of the Month of "Bhadrav" ) is Celebrated as the "Ganesh Chaturthi", the Birth Day of Lord Ganesh, and the revered "Puja" (Worshiping) of the Lord Ganesh is done and that is being celebrated today. 

Lord Ganesh, known world wide by His Popularity and commonly known as the "Elephant Headed God" had to accept an Elephant Head, by upholding the principles of Dignity of His Mother, while not even allowing his own Father Lord Mahadev ( the Boss of Gods) to enter the placed where mother Devi Parvati had gone for bathing assigning Him to Guard at the Entrance. 

Lord Ganesh is a very Kind God, He Blesses His Devotees, Profusely and Generously. 

Lord Ganesh by the name of Most Famous "Lord Siddhi Vinayak" is also the Presiding Deity of the Large City of Mumbai, India.
