The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji is laying today, the Foundation Stone for a Massive and Huge Green Hydrogen Project near Vishakhapatanam in Andhra Pradesh with the investment of Rs. 1.85 Trillion ( Rs. 1.85 Lakh Crore) that to in the Public Sector through NTPC, is something will go as a Light to the World From India today itself.

As the World as a whole is trying to finish the Carbon Dioxide(CO2) emissions to the atmosphere by 2050 to avoid alarming Global Warming that is leading to Climate Change of the World and causing myriads of Natural Calamities that bring in Non-Measurable Loss to Life and Property in the World, this Huge Step in India will motivate the World a lot in that direction, so that steps could be taken in synergy at other places of the World as well, as India was the largest and major dissenter in COP-28 (World's Climate Conference-28, or the 28th Annual World's Climate Conference) at Baku (Azerbaijan), 2024; for World's low funding provision of Climate Change Mitigation (USD 300 Billion against estimated USD 1300 Billion approx per year). 

Those who may not be knowing what is green Hydrogen and what are the Other Types of Hydrogen existing in the World System right now explaining in brief for their information:

The Water has the Chemical formula ..H2O ( Two Hydrogen Atoms chemically bonded to One Oxygen Atom) everybody knows from the School days.  When a Molecule of Water is broken by Electrolysis there will be release of 2-Hydrogen Atoms and 1-Oxygen Atom.

To do Electrolysis of Water to break it into Hydrogen and Oxygen, there is requirement of Electricity Power. When the Electricity Power used to do Electrolysis of Water to produce Hydrogen is from Renewable Sources of Energy, the Hydrogen produced by this route is called as "Green Hydrogen". There is Zero Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Emission to the Atmosphere from the process of production of "Green Hydrogen" and the byproduct of the Process is also water, that is its unique Beauty.

The Other Types of Hydrogen still produced and existing in the World Today are:

Blue Hydrogen .......produced by reforming Hydro Carbon Compounds ( commonly called as Fossil Source) electricity power used may be any source including fossil fuel...it has in-process Controlled and Restricted Carbon Dioxide Emission to the extent of 35% ( of total CO2 released from the whole process)., still better than "Gray Hydrogen" you read below.

Gray Hydrogen .......produced by similar way by reforming Hydrocarbon Compounds as Blue Hydrogen, however the CO2 emission is not as controlled and restricted as Blue Hydrogen process, the CO2 emission is higher.

Pink Hydrogen .......produced by use of electricity power of a Neuclear Power Plant by doing Electrolysis of Water

Yellow Hydrogen ......produced by also electrolysis of water, where the electricity used is from mixed sources such as Renewable  and Fossil Fuel used to produce the electricity that is used.

Turquoise Hydrogen .... produced by burning (pyrolating) Methane ( CH4 ...Hydro Carbon ). It is a very minor volume produced in the World, however CO2 emission is there.

Black Hydrogen ..... Produced by Combustion of Coal, minor volume produced in the world however CO2 emission is there.

 

The "Hydrogen" is being planned largely in the world to be used as a powerful fuel and energy source, even in its Non-Carbon compound forms like Ammonia (NH3) when the World is aiming to replace the Hydrocarbon or Fossil Fuels totally by 2050 to achieve zero(maximum possible) carbon dioxide emission to the atmosphere.

 

The Massive and Huge Green Hydrogen Project being foundation stone laid by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji today as reported by the news cited will also produce other Hydrogen Derivatives we need other than Green Hydrogen,  like Urea which will help in our Urea Fertilizer Need in India used in Agriculture as we are an Urea Fertilizer Deficit Country and we have to import Urea.

A real and great initiative by Government of India, being acted upon by Foundation Stone laying by the Hon'ble Prime Minister today, for the Nation to show light to the World at the contemporary times in the Climate Change Mitigation direction and for our own National Need.
