INAUGURATION OF NEW NALANDA UNIVERSITY BY THE HON'BLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA TODAY 19-JUNE-2024: A BOLD STEP TO RECOLLECT AND RE-ESTABLISH THE EDUCATIONAL SUPREMACY OF INDIA IN THE WORLD

Dear Readers,

The New Nalanda University at Rajgir ( the ancient name "Rajgriha" ), Bihar today 19-June-2024, by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji, is a Bold Step to Recollect and Re-establish the Educational  Supremacy of India in the World. 

In the past, for 8-Centuries ( Grand 800 years ) until the 13th Century, the Past Version of Nalanda University then was "The Educational Centre of Excellence" of the World, before it got ruined to its archeological remains still remain live at its location, Rajgir in Bihar, 

While I worked for GCMMF (Amul ) at Patna Office for Bihar ( undivided Bihar then ) from 1986-1990, I have visited this Archeological Remains of Nalanda University at Rajgir, Bihar, a number of times with my never ending inquisitiveness and queries on this Educational Centre of Excellence existed there for 8-Centuries (800 years) long, not a year or a decade. 

In the year 2007, the then President of India APJ Abdul Kalam conceived of the idea of the New Nalanda University, there after it has got into fruits, 18 Member Countries of ASEAN came forward to establish this Institution by revisiting its past-glory. 

An act named as "Nalanda University Act, 2010" passed by Hon'ble Indian Parliament gives special legal Status to the New Nalanda University as an Institution of National Importance. However, the New Nalanda University will enjoy the Status of an International University inside India.  

All those Luminous Personalities and the 18 Nations, the Government of India and the State Government of Bihar, who have supported for the New Nalanda University to come into being with a 400 Acres Totally Green and Self Operated Green Campus to be inaugurated today, are to be remembered today with Great Salutations from the People of India. 

We hope the New Nalanda University will show light of education, learning and knowledge to the World once again by recapturing the lost Glory of its past version.
