YOU ALWAYS SURPRISED US PLEASANTLY
WITH YOUR BLESSINGS, GRACE AND KINDNESS.

( In memory of Aunty, Late Smt. Sushila Sinha, 31-A, Shrikrishnapuri, Patna, Bihar, India; on her 1st Death Anniversary falling on 30th May 2023 )

My Respectable Aunty, Late Smt. Sushila Sinha (Mrs. Dr. Hareshwar Dayal Sinha), had left for her heavenly abode last year on 30th May 2022 and her 1st Death Anniversary is falling on 30th May 2023. I have placed a longer Article of Tribute here in my blog last year while she had departed for her heavenly abode and it is existing here. These few lines I am placing on the occasion of her 1ST death anniversary as tribute, in her memory, honours and with due respect acknowledging the Blessings, Grace and Kindness she always exhibited with motherly love and affection that remained unforgettable and cannot be wiped out of the memory.

My Aunty was unmatched in her motherly loving and caring qualities and she would always try to surprise us with something pleasantly, that would give a positive impact on emotion to benevolently bow the head before her with respects. It has been all through the last 37years of relationship with her and her family while I met first at Patna in April 1986.

She did surprise us very pleasantly, emotionally and graciously even at her very end, even at the very departure of her as a gesture to acknowledge, which I wanted to place with humility remembering on this day.

Some days after her departure last year on 30th May 2022, after all the last rites and prayers were over, my younger daughter came and told me that there was a message from my Aunty’s family (as Ms. Amita Sinha, the respectable elder daughter-in-law of my Aunty kindly communicated) informing that some blessing has been wished and left by my Aunty as a loving gift from the “Dadima”(Grand Mother) for my 3-children which has to be received. My younger daughter asked me whether she could receive it on behalf of my 3-children. First of all, I was very emotional to hear it and pleasantly surprised that Aunty has not spared herself until the very end, to surprise us pleasantly with her blessings, kindness and grace, that was her motherly love and care she always exhibited. Without a moment of hesitation as respects for the Aunty, I conveyed to my younger daughter to receive it with gratitude to the noble soul.

We rightly respected this gesture as I and my family at that time were working on to place my young son for post-school education and we felt honoured to use it to complement for the noble purpose consistent with the whishes of my Aunty, as she had a liking for the education of children and she was also quite happy to hear when the grand children did well and we felt this was also the best way to respect her gesture, she would have liked.

I did convey this fact at that time, with our sincere acknowledgement, circulating to Aunty’s family [ to her two sons who are the most respectable friends cum younger brothers to me; both Vikas (elder) and Subhash and also to the two daughters-in-law, Amita (elder) and Deepa ] who in fact, should be much appreciated, for having always conducted as the most sincere and respectable implementers of her wishes. They   were happy to hear it. The pleasant surprise, at the very departure of her from this world, as a gesture, should remain unforgettable, I thought to place with humility on her first departure-anniversary benevolently.

It has been a year now, there has been no phone call with her voice, which I miss genuinely. I am missing that call and that voice a lot, which was non-failing for 36years until last year. Where ever she would be in the past; whether in Patna, in Chennai or in Mumbai, she would definitely make a call remembering at intervals, to check for our wellbeing, I can never forget.

On Aunty’s Departure Anniversary falling on 30th May 2023, I along with my family while joining her family (the Sons, Daughters-in-law and Grand Children), friends and relatives, remembering her, pay her the tribute with due respects and, hope being in heaven, she would continue to bless all of us with her kindness and grace that she exhibited as always.

And, she remains unforgettable in memory.

With Prayers for the day… on 30th May 2023.
