Republic Day of India and Constitution of India

Greetings of the Republic Day of India on 26-January-2023

The Republic Day of India is signified by the fact that on this day, the 26-January-1950, the Constitution of India was put to Effect.

Though India became Independent on 15-August-1947, from 15-August-1947 to 26-January-1950 it was still governed under the Government of India Act, 1935 that was passed at the Instance of the British Rule.

The Real Independence of India to be Governed by its own Constitution was put into effect from the Republic Day, the 26-January-1950 only.

The Constitution of India returned the Fundamental Rights to the Citizens of India from this day.

The Relationship of the Citizens to the Constitution of India is like the most enjoyable and abideable "Romantic Relationship" of human life, if I can put it in a language every one will understand easily. You enjoy the fruits of the Constitution like any one would enjoy the Romantic Relationship, the more it is protected and respected, and not attempts are made to destroy its values.

The attempts to destroy the constitutional values by undermining the citizen rights are never respected.

It can apply to a Nation, it can apply to any institution whatever it may be, the size is not important, the Constitution may be called by whatever names.

About the Author : Dr. Nimain Charan Biswal is a B.Sc.(Agri.
