LOOK AT THIS TRANSPARENCY IN A BUSINESS: HOW WILL ANY ONE BE ABLE TO BEAT IT ? IT WILL KEEP THE CUSTOMER GLUED


What I am explaining here is an exemplary transparency in a business operation.

A couple of years Back not very long ago, I had visited a Cold-Storage in the industrial zone of Dubai in some context.

It was a cold storage operation, where the owner primarily ran it as a business of Renting out the Cold Storage Space for various products which were merchandise of Different Shops or Traders who were trading it from their Shops at different locations in the Dubai City. The Shop Owners of Dubai were keeping their refrigerated products in this Cold Storage on rental basis.

The Cold Storage was built primarily on German Technology, that was Sate of the Art of its time. It had different temperature zones where different products can be stored as per Refrigerated Temperature Need of the Products. For example, Ice Creams are supposed to be stored at Temperature -18 degree C ; thus -18 degree C or below will be a temperature zone. ( For information:  also in India by law, the ice creams have to be stored under -18 degree C or below for the purpose of marketing and distribution ).

It was seen, various products such as Vegetables, Fruits, Dairy Products, Meats, Fishes, Sea Foods and all kinds of perishable products were stored by different customers ( Shop keepers / Traders  of Dubai ) in different temperature zones of the Cold Storage on Rental Basis.

The Transparency in this case was that the Cold Storage owner had developed an App, and had given that app also to all its customers who were using his cold storage space on rental basis by keeping their merchandize there. The Customers through that App can know anytime 24hours of the day, at what temperature their merchandize is being stored in that cold storage. For example, the Customers who have stored Ice Cream in that Cold Storage, during any point of the time of the day, 24 hours, would be able to know, whether their Ice Cream is being stored at -18degree C or lower temperature or not.

This kind of transparency, can maintain the ultimate trust, can keep the customers glued to the Cold Storage, when the cold storage owner is guaranteeing the temperature 24 hours. 

Till date, and yet, I do not know if we have such kind of Cold Storages built in India where the temperature of it could be known to a customer who has rented space on remote basis any time. Those who have experience and exposure presently could say.

I have seen many cold storages across India, very big ones also, where the space is rented out for storing various products starting from Potato to Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy Products, to Spices, Fishes  etc. etc., however I have not seen this arrangement of transparency any where.
