IN THIS WEEK : “TWITTER” AND “TRUTH SOCIAL”

 

Just 4dyas back, on April 25, 2022 the World’s popular microblogging social media platform “ Twitter” got sold to the World’s Richest man, Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO and founder of SpaceX of USA, for an all cash USD 44 billion.

In the meanwhile, a day back, on last Thursday; April 28, 2022 for the first time, the Former President of USA, Donald Trump has posted a message for the first time, in his own founded Social Media Platform similar like Twitter, the “ Truth Social “, that signals that Truth Social has been launched in full life.

Twitter has been very popular for broadcasting the messages of influential political figures and celebrities of the world having large and mass followings and also has been carrying on lot of election euphoria for years. At the same time, it has also been accused quite a lot for its censorship of free speech.

Truth Social was founded by Former President of USA Donald Trump after he was permanently banned by Twitter; as his own microblogging platform. It was launched in the Apple’s App Store on February 21, 2022. Currently it is reported that, it is at the Top of the Chart of downloaded Apps in the App Store of Apple Inc., USA. Truth Social’s pitch has been in favour of free speech.

It is expected and speculated in the media that, after the take over of Twitter, the censorship issue with Twitter may see some changes.

These are the great changes in the Social Media of the World happening in this week only and both the changes will possibly re-orient the free speech domain in the microblogging platforms world wide.
