THOSE WHO WRITE OR POST IN SOCIAL MEDIA GROUPS ARE DOING A SERVICE AND NO-DISSERVICE

After a long period of careful and minute as well as rigorous observation and experience in Social Media groups, I would boldly say that those persons who write or post in Social Media Groups are doing a Service and No-disservice as always some people will be there in all such groups to perceive it to be a disservice.

My observations are based on all kinds of Social Media Groups, except Twitter and Instagram, I admit, where I do not have accounts till today (for the reasons best known to me). I never opened accounts in twitter and instagram till today.

Those who write or post as authors, they invest their time and energy voluntarily and by their own initiatives, as they feel for the society in their ways and within their limits. It is their own voluntary effort as writers and authors. The authors and writers in large numbers have been in the society for ages starting from the ancient time when humans started writing on the leaves of the plants, there was no paper even existing then. The Social Media has been in vogue for a handful (couple) of decades to say, not beyond.

Every writer or author has his/her readers or audience and their numbers in the society or in a group, could be anything.

Every author's or writer's writings or postings will also not be liked by every body, for reasons of own liking or interest area where it would not fit in, or it would not fit into the ideology one may be strongly following. That is where some would perceive that, the specific writers or authors are doing a disservice. Then they would make desperate calls to take out their grudge, call to moderate it, fix those authors and pin them, block them and throw them out. Some people can not just control their anger arising out of such situations and would get into actions if they got the powers in hands, they will take the rules and laws or norms to their hands to thrash such authors or writers by blocking, muting, suspending or throwing them out. Then they tend to mobilize opinions, dictate or bulldoze regarding what to discuss or what not to discuss in such groups.

In reality, and in my strong opinion, those who post as writers or authors in the Social Media Groups are doing a Service and No-Disservice for the society. An author or writer has written a post and has placed before the group. I say again and vehemently that, every author has the audience, numbers could be anything. Some will like it and some will not like it for various reasons as I said above.

The simple way the best performing groups work is; if one does not like a post or posts of any particular author, leave it to fend for itself. Let its readers who like it be happy with it.

It is the author's mind and prerogative as to what to write and what not to write or on what subject to write. Any member of the audience who likes it reads it, who does not like it leaves it.

For example, a Book Stall in the Airport is displaying many books of many authors, many passengers get into the stall, they may like some books or may not like some books, they may pick up or may not pick up depending on choices. All chose by their choices and go by their flights at the end. Just because some passengers do not like some books of some authors for their reasonings, will the Airport Book Stall be closed or even the Airport be closed or the book stall be policed all the time chasing which book to display ?

The best performing groups have been the ones that are Unmoderated. In Professional Groups categorically, everyone knows his/her responsibility, frictions and undercurrents are more in such groups as two or many sides of views stay parallel and impossible to be converged. But they do stay and do well when such groups remain unmoderated.

I say again and once more, those who are writing or posting in the Social Media Groups are doing a Service and No-Disservice to the society if it is seen with positive mindset, as some people may perceive as a disservice, it is everywhere.
