AIR INDIA GETS HANDED OVER TO TATA

 TODAY (27-JAN-2022)

In my further life time from today, if anyone asks me what is the important event on 27-January, the next date after India's Republic Day celebrations, I will painfully answer : Handing Over of Air India to TATA.

Today, we become a large nation, without a Civilian National Air Carrier of our own.

History has recorded 1953, when some Son of the Soil, nationalized Air India and felt it should be India's own, National Carrier. History records today(January 27, 2022) as the day, some other (Son of the Soil) handed over it to TATA.

I have not changed my views since this issue of handing over Air India to TATA came up in October, 2021. I am pained and I am not happy with this happening in our Nation.

I am also pained that, over 4,400 domestic and 1,800 international landing and parking slots at domestic airports, as well as 900 slots abroad, the precious honours (with 900 parking and landing slots in foreign airports) that the World Community had given to Indian Nation to retain as National Assets, that also go to TATA today. Especially, how much efforts of the Indian Embassies and High Commissions and National Resources would have been deployed to get the 900 Parking and Landing Slots abroad for Air India in last 68 years since 1953, can be imagined by any sensible professional.

The Nation will definitely remember, at those critical moments in future from today, when it will need the Civilian National Carrier the most.

I am sure some may be rejoicing, but all Indians may not be happy, I say again, I am not happy losing this National Carrier to TATA.
