"ALITALIA" CHANGES TO "ITA" (NATIONALIZED TO NATIONALIZED ) EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 15, 2021
This is a story comparable to AIR INDIA ( even Alitalia was worst than Air India to say ). A new beginning in the World, very interesting. Alitalia, the National Carrier of Italy is changing to a new name ITA by launch of a New Nationalized Company named "Italia Trasporto Aereo (ITA)", which is taking over the Alitalia effective from October 15, 2021.
Do we have scope for a learning here and take clue for us in India in National Interest ?
Italy, a developed country, did not want to lose its National Carrier. Under pressure from EU Regulators and European Union, they formed ITA a new Nationalized Company and are transferring Alitalia to ITA from today, the October 15, 2021. Later Alitalia Brand will be transferred to ITA or not is a question mark right now, however ITA will use all Operational Infrastructure, Systems and even Flight Codes of Alitalia, the operational domain will remain the same.
In my strong opinion, which I have been saying for some time and at the cost of repeated posts ( even if some may not like ), the Indian Nation should not have surrendered to TATA by selling our National Carrier Air India at a paltry bid from Tata. The Great Assets of Air India along with National and Global Access Points ( Landing and Parking Slots ) are going to Tata, a private enterprise, that will not be in the hands of Indian Nation in National Interest.
The theories that the Government will not be in this or that business let it be at its place, the National Interest to have a National Carrier of our own remains the supreme.
Still I would say boldly and strongly as a Citizen of India, the Government of India should cancel the plan of selling of Air India to Tata and retain Air India as National Asset of Pride and Utility of National Interest for future to come. May be Government of India would have just issued a Letter of Intent to Tata, no share purchase agreement has been done till now and the Air India has not been handed over to Tata, the Decision to sell can be withheld. The Government of India will hear or not hear this voice is a different matter.
Things are happening in the World, we should not be in hurry to handover a National Asset of pride and we need essentially to Tata just like that.
I am doing my duty as a citizen to advise my views in the National Interest and I hold this view very firm against all costs. There could be ways and means to have a National Carrier of our own for our National need in National Interest for future.
I have placed links of a few published articles here below, there are many on this in the internet, the readers may have liberty to read.
