DO NOT JUST JOIN ANY GROUP IN SOCIAL MEDIA WITHOUT KNOWING WHO ARE THE ADMINS/MODERATORS
Based on Empirical Facts, better not to just jump to join any call/invitation for joining any Group of Social Media unless it is known clearly and transparently as to who are the Admins (Administrators )/Moderators of the Group.
In fact, it is a good practice, to publish the names of the Admins/Moderators of any Group to maintain transparency and group credibility.
An example to quote, the Most Popular Linked In Groups which have even Million(s) of Members, declare publicly as to who are the Admins of those Groups. Anyone can verify in Linked in, it is true. I have verified at least in 15 Groups having members >500000 to >2000000 ( more than 5lacs to more than 2million ) and have found it is true, that the names and their back grounds are displayed publicly in Linked in.
The Groups who display the Names and Back Ground Details of the Administrators/Moderators present better credibility before the larger audience.
When receiving any Call or Invitation to join any Group, it is always better to ask for the Names/Details of Admins and Moderators to get comfort and then decide to join or not join.
When the calling or inviting Group is reluctant to disclose who are the Admins/Moderators of the Group, it may be required to re-think whether you can trust such a call or the inviter inviting or making the call can be relied upon or trusted by own assessment.
Of course it is an individual choice on voluntary basis, the decision to join or not join depends on individual choice and wish, just mentioned for information only; as a good bench marked practice being considered by many globally; for one and all to take note.
When groups have members with diversified back grounds, diversified interests, diversified affiliations and diversified beliefs in ideology, there is bound to be arguments, disagreements and opposing views that some times lead to heated arguments and altercations among the group members on subjects of common interest or public interest. In such situations, the stand of Tolerance, Member-Neutrality, Bias-Neutrality, Impartiality and Judicious minds of Group Administrators become essential and critical for the groups to function rightly.
Where the Group Administrators and Moderators act on whims and bias of their own, there could be heart burns among the members, the best of friendships get spoiled or strained due to group turbulence and the groups even disintegrate.
