FOCUS OF INDIAN POLITICS MAY SHIFT TOWARDS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL UPLIFTMENT AFTER AUGUST 05, 2020.

It is believed as well as hoped that August 05, 2020 ( Wednesday ) the day on which the foundation stone of the Magnificent Ram Temple is laid at Ayodhya ( which is being organized by the newly formed Trust for construction of the Ram Temple ), will be the deciding point of time after which the focus of Indian politics may shift towards economic development and social upliftment, and curtain would possibly fall in a large part of the “ Kamandal Rajneeti “ (  the Politics of Pilgrimage ) in India. After the foundation stone laying function on August 05, 2020; it would be certain that a Ram Temple at Ayodhya will be constructed and it goes without saying in certain terms that it would get completed in due course. Hence the public as well as political anxiety existing for a very long time and the uncertainty about the Ram Temple at Ayodhya that existed for a long time won’t be there and this nerve of anxiety can no more be available for political consumption and building of a political capital out of it to be used in electioneering. Also in parallel, as per the relevant judgment of the Supreme Court of India, as per the news reported, a  5-acre plot has been duly handed over on 1st August 2020 to the newly formed trust constituted by Sunni Waqf Board for construction of a New Mosque at about 20kms distance from the site of the Ram Temple around Ayodhya and in the same district. Thus a New Mosque will also come up in Ayodhya in due course. Thus the anxiety around Ayodhya that persisted and carried forward for a long period of time would lose existence for public or political consumption in India. Historically, post-independence, the politics in India predominantly focused around :

a) A period of “ Post-independence Rebuilding and Consolidation” from Aug 15, 1947 until late 1980s , say from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Smt Indira Gandhi until Shri Rajiv Gandhi as the Prime Ministers.

b) a short period in 1980s and early 1990s where in drifting took place in the name of “ Mandal Commission Report “ popularly known as “ Mandal Rajneeti“ ( Mandal Politics ) started during PM Shri V P Singh but got wound up soon.

c) around the same time (Mandal time ), the theme of construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya took a serious turn in politics in India and a strong branch of political affiliation concerning Pilgrimage of Ayodhya raised head ( which was  popularly called as “Kamandal Rajneeti” then ( or Politics of Pilgrimage ). Since then a large part of politics India ( in the major bi-party or multiparty politics of India ) has centered around the Ram Temple at Ayodhya and it became a large public as well as political anxiety for the very broader and unstinted faith that a large sized population of Indians across social strata, have for Lord Ram ( of epic Ramayan ) as a revered deity; it traveled all along and in parallel through periods of PM-Shri P V Narasimha Rao, Shri Atal Behari Bajpayee, Dr. Manmohan Singh as PMs and continued thereafter with Shri Narendra Modi as PM  till date with cognizable persistence as well. This theme was first converted to a public anxiety and by that it got converted to a political capital for electioneering thereafter, and though many remarkable incidents happened in the due course of its journey that can not be erased out of history of India.

With Supreme Court of India deciding on land dispute of Ayodhya and passing on a final judgment in 2019, allotting the specified land for the Ram Temple and alternative land for a new mosque, had put larger part of the anxiety of the politics of the pilgrimage and also the public anxiety ( that used to get converted to political anxiety ) to rest.

Further the foundation stone laying for construction of the Ram Temple on August 05, 2020 and also the new mosque getting constructed at allotted alternative land site in due course, would put the anxiety of Indian public ( as well as politics ) for Ayodhya, to permanent rest.

Ayodhya, with the new Magnificent Ram Temple and a New Mosque coming up in due course there, would get in the Tourism Map of India with an elevated and preferred rank. A trade of tourism and profound pilgrimage is likely to flourish in Ayodhya, that possibly may become comparable to some best tourism and pilgrimage destinations in India or in the world. The pilgrimage that was busy in politicking in Ayodhya or in India in general,  around Ayodhya anxiety for decades together ( at least 4-decades ) would hopefully remain solaced and contented with the new and upcoming fortune at Ayodhya.   Hopefully, after August 05, 2020; a large contingent of energy that was getting diverted and engaged around Ayodhya anxiety would find use in India for economic development and social upliftment. With curtain largely falling on a large part of “ Kamandal Rajneeti” ( Politics of Pilgrimage ), it is believed that the focus of politics would shift seriously and intensively towards economic development and social upliftment in India. Let there be a rule in India wherein a single innocent citizen should not be persecuted and prosecuted, and if it can be ensured that could be the best tribute to all great gods ( including Lord Ram ).  Let us hope for the best.
