GREETINGS FOR THE "HOLI" FESTIVAL BEING CELEBRATED THESE DAYS
Dear Readers,
GREETINGS FOR THE "HOLI" FESTIVAL BEING CELEBRATED THESE DAYS
Since yesterday (13-March-2025), the "Holi Festival" has been
started to be celebrated in different parts of India,
today(14-March-2025) is being celebrated across India and, this Holi
Festival in various forms will continue to be celebrated in "Rural
India" in different parts and locations in the traditional ways they
follow it locally, to the best of my knowledge, it continues for almost
10days starting from yesterday in some parts of "Rural India" as per
their local traditions.
Different
Festivals have been part of India's Cultural Heritage since Ancient
Times. "Holi Festival" is one of the Important Festivals of that
Cultural Heritage of India prevailing since the Ancient Times. While the
Holi Festival is being Celebrated in India, it is also celebrated in
Other Countries by the Indian Communities who live there.
"Holi
Festival " is considered as the Celebration of "Spring" season of the
year. The "Spring" Season of the year is the season, when a lot of
Flowers Bloom with their Colourful Arrivals, hence, the Holi Festival is
associated with "Colours". Mythologically and by Legendary Belief, the
Holi Festival is also connected to "Vasant Ras" ( Celebration of Spring )
recognized in "Lord Krishna Philosophy". It is believed that "Lord
Krishna" used to Celebrate "Holi" with Colourful Flowers of the Spring
with his Friends in his "Vrindaban Days" and the Holi Festival has been
continuing as the Festival of Colours since those ancient days can be
linked back that far.
"Holi" is one of the Mass Festivals celebrated with Friends and in Groups people like to celebrate it.
The
Spring Season is always considered as a better part of the year and the
Festival of Holi is celebrating the Colourful Spring, welcoming and wishing the "Spring" in everyone's life, that is really the inherent theme of this mass festival.
I
write on various Festivals of India from time to time as it comes, as
it demonstrates the Cultural Heritage of India, that is part of our
National Cultural Heritage, and I write on those Festivals on which I am
aware of by my exposure to it since the very childhood and I am aware
of it authentically by my faith. There may be other Festivals also
celebrated, on which I don't write because I am not aware of it and I do
not have the authentic exposure to it and its subject as well as themes
involved with it.
