THE SIGNIFICANCE AND APPLICATION OF "BOYCOTT" IN A DEMOCRACY In a democracy, "BOYCOTT" is a powerful tool of protest by the means of non-violence. The simple meaning of Boycott is NON-PARTICIPATION or NON-COOPERATION. When there are justified reasons for Boycott, this tool is very powerful, because the people, who are the "Masters of Democracy" are able to see those reasons, as the best judges for the democracy. As the Masters of Democracy, the people see those reasons and form their opinions, may not speak on the face of it. When Any Side of the Democracy resorts to "Boycott" : 1.
