WE NEED STRONG PUBLIC SECTOR IN INDIA AT LEAST UNTIL 2050 (COOPERATIVES / SOCIETIES ARE INCLUDED)

WE NEED STRONG PUBLIC SECTOR IN INDIA AT LEAST UNTIL 2050 (COOPERATIVES / SOCIETIES ARE INCLUDED) 1. Retention and Revival of BSNL/MTNL as reported by the news cited below (The Hindu News of 27-July-2022 updated on 28-July-2022, the link to the news given below) is welcome and appreciated. Indian Telecom Sector cannot be left to Private Sector alone for reasons of Long Term National Need for inclusion of Rural Hinterland for development and for National Security. Better understood late and acted upon now for BSNL/MTL, than never. 2. In parallel, unfortunately the entire public in India are getting into quiet mode and nobody even from the Expert Community is raising head to say that Privatization of Public Sector Banks in India right now, is not in National Interest. It is boiling down only to the few Employees' Unions of the Public Sector Banks who are struggling to resist it, while there is a strong force working to sell off some public sector banks, at least two of them, which ...

HOW A NON-EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE GROUP INSURANCE SCHEME WORKS

HOW A NON-EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE GROUP  INSURANCE SCHEME WORKS     ( In the context of Indian Market for  Insurance in the Contemporary Times ) I am writing here to precisely explain the picture of the arrangement of a Non-Employer-Employee Group Insurance Scheme which the institutional or fraternity groups may be trying to lunch or may have lunched for their members and the readers may be contemplating to participate or not to participate, I am explaining you independently without obligation to anyone. I am writing it, just as indicative explanation of the general modus operandi, but in specific cases it may have been worked out differently. There are a bunch of 3rd-Parties, called as Insurance Brokers/Aggregators, who work on the Agency Commission earning which is up to 15% ( 15% is the ceiling of commission payable to the Insurance Agents/Intermediaries, as per IRDAI ( Insurance Regulatory Authority of India ) Rules, 2016 (amended up to date for Non-Employer-Emp...

LARGEST CORPORATIONS REMAIN LARGEST AND SURVIVE LONG FOR ONE OF THE SIMPLEST REASONS FOR BEING ABLE TO HEAR AND REMAIN RESPONSIVE TO THE SMALLEST CUSTOMER

LARGEST CORPORATIONS REMAIN LARGEST AND SURVIVE LONG FOR ONE OF THE SIMPLEST REASONS FOR BEING ABLE TO HEAR AND REMAIN RESPONSIVE TO THE SMALLEST CUSTOMER Sharing some real life experiences including just one of today to justify my postulation above. I have written many times about Dr. Verghese Kurien who is well known to all of us in India and Internationally. Dr. V. Kurien's success in getting success for "Amul" and the massive Dairy Development Programme in India that he spearheaded, can be safely attributed to one of the simplest reasons (out of many other reasons that can be identified and postulated) for his ability to hear and be responsive to smallest customer ( or say smallest stake holder ) in whatever he did. I have written some time back, about how he never allowed even a Post Card written to him and if it reached his office, may be even written from any corner of India and the World or whoever he may be, even a person from the streets, to go un-noticed and ...

SHINZO ABE ( FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN ) HAD DEMONSTRATED AND EXEMPLIFIED THE RARE COMMITMENT TO PERFORMANCE AT HIGHEST OFFICES

SHINZO ABE ( FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN ) HAD DEMONSTRATED AND EXEMPLIFIED THE RARE COMMITMENT TO PERFORMANCE AT HIGHEST OFFICES :  IT WILL BE REMEMBERED BY THE WORLD On 28-August-2020, two years back, I had written a very small article and recorded in my Blog ( drnimain.blogspot.com ) with the title as : “COMMITMENT TO PERFORMANCE AT HIGHEST OFFICES” It was based on Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan then, while in August 2020 , when due to his health ailment ( ulcerative colitis ), he had announced his resignation from Office by making his statement as : “I cannot be Prime Minister if I cannot make the best decisions for the people. I have decided to step down from my post”. Anybody from public can read the said post at my Blog: drnimain.blogspot.com, as an evidence; I had put in record two years back on 28-August-2020, I am not saying it only today. Shinzo Abe’s decision in this instance is a case, also for the Management Students to recognize over the h...

IS IT NECESSARY THAT THE PUBLIC SECTOR HAS TO BE SOLD OFF LIKE INSECT INFESTED BRINJAL BY DESPERATION?

IS IT NECESSARY THAT THE PUBLIC SECTOR HAS TO BE SOLD OFF LIKE INSECT INFESTED BRINJAL BY DESPERATION? Some classic instances are coming to sight. After Air India, TATAs got this gift from the Public Sector basket by paying a small price. I am commenting and making this post after reading the news item of Business Standard, the link of which is given below. Look at what the Plater of the gift has got inside it , this is what (composition of the acquisition) the news item says, not me: --1.1 Million (11 Lac) Ton (per year ) Capacity Steel Plant (Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited -NINL, located near Jajpur Road, in Odisha, India). --Iron Ore Mines having estimated reserves of 90 Million (900 Lac) Tonnes, Spread over 2500 Acres of Land with future expansion scope. --All at an acquiring cost of just Rs. 12100 Crores ( USD 1.61 billion approximately at USD/INR 75.00). In case of Air India, lot of people were shedding tears that Air India was nationalized in 1953 ( it was not a crime then,...
